I really liked the beginning, but I'm having trouble continuing. Will probably start it again next summer or whenever is the next time I have mental space for a nervewracking read.
@gersande@millefeuilles.cloud the first book is incredible, and the second book is a SLOG, but it more or less pays off because it's setting the foundation for where the series ultimately ends up. Ive heard people say that the Dark Forest is a great description of the book itself - confused, lost, uncertain of a destination...but it does pay off at a certain point.
