As someone who has never found the "Coffee Shop AU" genre of fanfiction particularly reassuring or cozy (blame it on the time I worked as a barista, it sucked) it took me a while to get to these but so many people have asked me what I think of this series as if it was a given that I've read them already, well, perhaps it is time to submit to these expectations.

@blueberryjams@mastodon.social It's a very neat little book. It exceeded my expectations because I'm not super into "slice of life" as a genre. There are little bits of the book here and there that I would have liked to see a little more fleshed out but that's on me, I always want my romances (even if they're side plots) to be very romantic, but I guess that was not the priority! Which is ok!

@gersande I hate romances so I was glad it wasn't the focus hehe
