Review of 'Siegfried' on 'Goodreads'

This was a fun look at the Volsunga saga. The coffee art was beautiful. The story was well-paced. I found the tidbits of backstory BEHIND the story to be quite fascinating, and now I want to know more.

On a personal level, I found Siegfried rather obnoxious as a hero. This wasn't a bad thing though, because now I am curious to see if I would feel the same in reading the actual legend.

On the whole, this is a great intro to the Volsunga saga. The ending is perfect where it stands, but it also could lead to a sequel, so I am wondering what, if anything, will happen next...

This was a decent intro to Loki and Sigyn. It's very 101 entry-level heathen content though with explanations of rituals and altars. I did not feel I learned anything new, per se.

Well-written and thoughtful. Lots of simple yet intriguing ways to connect to one's body and pagan path. I am sure I will reread this many times in the future.
